After a couple of weeks at Camping Marjal it is time for a change of scenery and we are heading for Cartagena.

We enjoyed our time here, with some good walks around the local nature reserve.
A few days after we arrived, Chris and Jen, two friends from Norfolk, drove in to the campsite. We had met last year in Cataluna where they had taught us how to play Petanque (boules). So we had a few return matches, girls vs boys.

We played a lot of boules, both in the regular Monday/Wednesday/Friday sessions organised by the site and with Chris and Jen.

Lunch at Casa Harry

We had a memorable long lunch at Casa Harry, the most local Spanish restaurant, with Chris, Jen and Steve.

The day before we were due to leave, and quite by chance, we ran in to a couple of friends, Dave and Judy, who live in the Lot et Garonne region of France. So we were forced to play even more boules, and head in to town for another feast…this time at the Bombay Catral.
